NEW YORK, NY. (September 1, 2017) - The Long Losts new album To night… is like listening in on two lovers wondering hand and hand through a night filled with ghosts and memory. It’s romantic, energetic, gothic, punk rock.

Made up of vocalist Anka and her husband/guitarist Patrick, The Long Losts began in 2012 when the couple reunited after a long break and got married. Their tale of two long lost lovers finding their way back to each other gave them the name The Long Losts. Shortly there after they wrote their first song If Only Boris Karloff Was My Dad. Over the next 2 years they wrote and recorded 10 songs eventually becoming their first album, a love letter to Halloween, Autumn, horror and each other called Scary Songs To Play In the Dark.

Their new album, To night... continues their personal tales of darkness and romance through the medium of rock music. Anka's haunting Siouxie Sioux-esque vocals move from a whisper to a yell while Patrick's heavy guitar mixes with pounding drums and whirling spooky organ melodies leading you to bang your head on the goth club dance floor.

"Since most of the biggest moments of our relationship happened at night we thought it only fitting to have album about those nights and at the same time a tribute to night itself." -Patrick

The album begins with Anka and Patrick singing a-cappella, "Something in the attic says there's something in the basement, but something in the hallway just laughed..." suddenly an explosion of guitar and drums! Anyone with their car stereo turned up loud will jump in their seat. This is the intro to the first track Big Dark Room. A fast paced rock song about being trapped by and overcoming people’s perceptions of who and what you are.
The 2nd track entitled Shiny Objects is a punk rock rallying cry to drop our phones, tablets and other shiny objects and live in the moment. To have fun like children playing in the street. Other tracks include Fritz Throws the Switch, which harkens back to the horror tunes of their previous record; a hard rock surfy ditty with serious Frankenstein overtones. Baby Fangs, a waltz with an explosive chorus about children becoming beautiful little monsters. Skeleton Thief a spooky mid tempo number that invokes Bauhaus.  Skeleton Thief  was the first video off To night...
The album also contains an unlisted 11th track, a cover of Never Land by the goth icons The Sisters Of Mercy. The last original song on the album a song called One Night At a Time sums up the album and Anka and Patrick’s feelings for one another with one line,

“To you, to us, two hearts combined, to every night…till the end of time.”

OFFICIAL BIO

Hailing from New York, The Long Losts are a musical act made up of vocalist Anka and her husband Patrick on guitar that began in 2012 with the creation of their first song, If Only Boris Karloff Was My Dad. Their music combines elements of goth and punk with lyrics inspired by their love for each other and all the things that they love; Autumn, Halloween, nature, romance, old ghost stories and their own memories all wrapped in a dark Victorian aesthetic.
Patrick's guitar playing switches from hard rock to punk to goth rock, while Anka's vocals transition from a haunting whisper to a rocking scream with each song being it's own distinct ghostly creation.
